Harvest Cafe : a quick lunch visit

A few weeks ago we stopped by Bonnyrigg Garden Center to visit Harvest Cafe, located within its premises for a quick bite.

I had only seen a few snaps of it on Instagram before but had no idea how pretty the nursery setting can be for a cafe.

Even though we were there for lunch, the offer of all day breakfast is always a temptation. I stuck it out and ordered a watermelon iced drink. It was as beautiful as it was delicious.

I ordered the Club Sandwich which was actually quite massive. Loved the fries on the side.

I always have a little bit of a giggle when the waitress puts the fries and sandwich in front of him and the salad in front of me.

The service was friendly and efficient.

We went on a quiet day but I can imagine weekends being much busier.Β There is ample seating inside and outdoors.

The change of scenery was really nice. To be surrounded by plants and flowers.

These guys also have function areas available including this in a coveredΒ gazebo:

Wouldn’t that be gorgeous for an intimate engagement or birthday party?

Super pleased to find another hidden gem hidden out in the suburbs here.

Note this one down as a place to take your mum for Mothers Day. Never too early to start planning πŸ˜‰

  1. That is such a cute little place! I’d definitely make a visit if I was in the area. I love little places like this – and that watermelon ice drink looks so refreshing! Watermelon is a sure favorite for me.
