August Empties

Once again, my essentials all seem to run out at the same time! Some regular favorites, some new favorites and some things I won’t be buying again.

My empties for August lean heavily towards the skin care side of things.

August Empties

Olay Total Effects Anti Aging Night Cream – I have repurchased this several times. Since I have been paying a litte more attention to my skin lately I did notice that it wasn’t as effect in colder months and my skin still felt quite dry and dull if I only applied this in the evenings without any other serums.

Sephora Sleeping Mask in Honey – I love these sleeping masks. These are best applied once or twice weekely or even just before a special event. I also like the varieties in Pearl and Rose but tried out the Honey one based on a recommendation from Sephora staff.

Toni and Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray – Perfect for those days when I don’t have time to work on my hair. I spray this on to my hair after towel drying and simply scrunch up.Yes to

Carrots lip balm in Peachy Keen – My last tube of this lip balm that has now been discontinued. It took me a while to finish up this one because I started trying out other balms. Time to move on to newer and better things!

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara – a true classic. I loved the packaging and application of the mascara. My only issue is that I have had to switch mascaras due to sensitive eyes. A shame because this gave great results.

Nivea Rich Moisturising Day Cream 30SPF – Love this for the high SPF and also because of its hyrdrating proerties. It sits well under my makeup. Already repurchased this one.

Dove Go Fresh Cream Cleanser – This was a real struggle to finish. It didn’t leave my face with a clean fresh feeling afterwards. It wasn’t drying just felt very blah and cheap to use. Won’t be repurchasing this one and by the looks of it, it is now discontinued.
